About Alexandria DECA
What is DECA?
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
Alexandria DECA was established in 2013. Members quickly increased from 12 to 130 members. Throughout the year, students attend meetings and compete at local, district, state and international levels. At these competitions, students can compete in role plays, interviews, sales demos, and business plans.
Our Alexandria DECA chapter focuses on several project management projects which impact our local community: Community Service - Giving, Community Service - Awareness, Career Development, Sales Project, Business Solutions, and Financial Literacy Promotional Plan.
DECA students learn countless soft skills including communication, critical problem solving, collaboration, time management, and adaptability.
